Wedding Wednesday

Let me just tell  you that finding a MOB dress is just about as hard as finding
THE dress.

Especially when you have a tiny mommy of  5'2".
Shes a cute little thing.

Sister and I ordered this number over the weekend for her to try
since we could not find ANYTHING in the stores,
and I didn't want to overwhelm her with a bridal salon.

Just got confirmation of its arrival.
Mama will be trying it on this afternoon.
Lets cross our fingers this goes well!

The Very First Date

During my daily blog reading yesterday I stumbled upon a post about the importance of date night.

Amanda explained how date nights continue to be important in a relationship in order to keep things feeling a little more romantic and a littles less mundane.
I could not agree more.

C and I definitely do not go on date nights every week.
Heck, sometimes not even every month,
but every once in a while I let that boy know that I need something special,
and then we go on a date night :)

It is vital to a live-in relationship like ours... or else you will get to used to the "everyday-ness" of just living with your for real BFF.

Of course, every time we go on a date I think about all the other dates we have been on in the almost three years that we have been together, and almost every time I ask C if he remembers the very first one.

Surprisingly, he always remembers the first dinner date,
but I always have to clarify that there was actually a very first date before the very first dinner date.

a painfully awkward lunch date.
at our fave place, Groucho's Deli.

Where I only ate half of my most favorite sandwhich in the whole wide world
because I didn't want to look like a fatty.
(Now when we go I practically lick my plate)

Where I ordered water instead of my usual most delicious sweet-tea
(who the hell knows why I thought that was appropriate)

and where we awkwardly argued over the tiny two-seat table about him paying for my $8 meal.

Such a very awkward hour or so of our lives.
So awkward that C doesn't even remember it!

But you know what?
If it were not for that very very first date
who knows if the very first dinner date would have ever happened at all.

And because of that,
I sure am glad for Groucho's.

Friday Five

I hate when all I do is want
but, it happens.

Here are my top 5 wants for today.

{one}
I have been itching for a new piece of everyday jewlery.
This Yurman cross could really fill that void for me.

{two}
New falls boots are also at the top of my wishlist.
These will do.

{three}
My makeup needs some serious updating.

{four}
Blazer.
Schoolboy blazer in navy

{five}
New Torys for the cold months.

My list could go on and on.
I am so bad
but a girl can dream right?

Have a great weekend, y'all!

Wedding Wednesday: Honeymoon!

Coleman and I are two lucky ducks!

We have been blessed with a surprise Honeymoon trip!!!
We will be headed to Southernmost on the Beach in Key West
the Monday following the wedding!!

Clearly, I am very excited.
Coleman and I will be headed back to the Florida Keys,
4 years after meeting there for the very first time, for our honeymoon!
You can read the story of how we met on our wedding website.
It is pretty funny if you ask me but I may be just a little biased.

I have been waiting all week for Wedding Wednesday so that I could share
photos from the fabulous honeymoon location!

Droppin' Some Lbs.

Its Monday again.
Not only is it Monday but it is the very first day of my firm's

Weight Loss Challenge.

eek...

The firm is offering for the first time ever, a voluntary weight loss challenge.
And it is just that, a challenge, not a competition.
No biggest loser, not getting kicked off.

A personal competition to lose 10% of your body weight in 10 weeks.
With a cash prize incentive.

What better way to get me kicked into wedding diet high gear is there?
I'm talking a chance at winning $500!
(If you can keep the weight off for 3 months following the 10 weeks)
Which I HAVE to do...
the wedding is 7 months away!

We had our first weigh in this morning
after I indulged one last time on some warm Krispy Kreme donuts!

And now...were off the races to lose to 10 percent!
Wish me luck!

Labor Day Weekend Recap

Happy Tuesday after Labor Day!

One of the hardest days to get back to the grind of the work week,
but it is a FOUR day week so that is fantastic.

I must say that I think this weekend was equal parts
fun
relaxing
and
lazy
The perfect adjectives to describe a long weekend...a sweltering long weekend in Charleston.

Friday evening started off with some after work cocktails.
Saturday was filled with pool time and sunshine.
Crab legs near the water for supper Saturday evening :)
A little Labor Day sale shopping with mama on Sunday.
Baby Botany's first trip to the Dove field with Coleman.
(which was a great success!)
Out on the town with some visiting college friends Sunday night.
Movie watching and couch laying Monday.

Looking back it sounds like I had a pretty great Holiday weekend,
and I think I agree!

Hope y'all did too!
